I can't praise Google Reader enough -- it just blows every other online RSS I've tried aggregator out of the water. This post has some damned useful tips for using the program to its fullest.

This post and this other post from yesterday contain deals and links to other deals

First, as noted by [livejournal.com profile] robyn_ma, the entire Monty Python's Flying Circus 16-ton Megaset is selling for $54.97 (45% off).

Light Grenades, the new album from Incubus, is avaialble for pre-order for $9.99 (47% off).

For the PS2 gamers, the latest sub-$10 game is Rampage: Total Destruction (selling at $9.99). This is the first of the sub-$10 games to actually be on my wishlist; needless to say, I highly recommend it (or just getting it for me).

There are a handful of other videogame deals:

For the Gameboy Advance, the Yu-Gi-Oh Double Pack (with The Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction) is $9.99 (50% off).

For the Nintendo DS, Shrek Super Slam is also $9.99 (50% off).

For the PS2, Okami is going for $29.99 (25% off), not an amazing deal, but pretty good for a recent (and still high-selling) game.

Also for the PS2, the Sega Classic Collection is selling for only $4.99. This sounds like a great deal, but most of the reviews for this collection warn that instead of true classics, we get remixed versions of the games that aren't half as much fun. So caveat emptor on this one.

Finally, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (the latest in the Tony Hawk series, is going for $9.87 (although Amazon hides the price on the initial page).

For Windows gamers, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Collector's Edition is going for $24.99 (58% off).

ETA: And two more good kitchen deals (to go with the skillet one mentioned in one of those first two links):

The Proctor Silex 2-slice toaster is $4.99.

And the set of two Dalla Piazza Nu Scüp Measuring Cups (the adjustable scoop-style cups) is $5.99.

Both of the kitchen items, like the skillet, are eligible for Amazon Prime or free shipping if the order hits $25 (generally, the shipping costs on those items make free shipping very worth aiming for).

According to Peter David's blog, Dave Cockrum has passed away.

Between his work on the Legion of Super-Heroes and X-Men, he was always one of my favorite artists.
