Is Seasons 1-8 of The King of Queens for $115.99 (60% off).

It's worth noting, however, that for $115.99 less, you can keep your house free of The King of Queens, which strikes me as a much better deal.

1. There's a massive Anchor Bay DVD sale at Amazon. We're talking 58-60% off things like the Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2 collection (as well as the individual movies), the Mario Bava Collection, Re-Animator, Near Dark, Cemetery Man, and the original The Hills Have Eyes. There are also 40-50% off deals on assorted goodies like Dawn of the Dead, Masters of Horror, Sleepaway Camp, and even the Bruce Campbell/Renee O'Conner "classic" Alien Apocalypse. There's seven pages worth of stuff here, much of it either classic or at least fun.

2. A few of you have asked about the state of 261 Days of Horror. It'll be back soon (hopefully very soon, but I'm reluctant to give a date without having a review ready), along with more info about where the series is going.

Busy day, so very quick linkdump before meetings.

1. I'm finally sold on Democracy Player as a viable video podcast/youtube platform. The current version is actually functional and fun. Also, the program will soon be renamed as Miro, and naming a product after one of my favorite artists is a good thing.

2. Ray Stevens, Wingnut (ganked from Mark Evanier).

3. Sometimes, Marvel action figures suck even without making nasty gender statements. In the Dr. Doom action figure from the upcoming FF2 movie, we see Victor revealing his Orkian origins and sucking up a puddle of water through his hand.

4. For anyone else who has read the Darren Shan books, there are a bunch of bonus stories, tie-ins, and scenes that were cut on his website. Very cool (and he tells you where they fit in, so you don't encounter any spoilers).

5. Latest addition to my RSS feeds: The NY Times Screens Blog, maintained by Virginia Heffernan. Damned good stuff.

6. And, as mentioned before, my RSS reader of choice is Google Reader.

7. Ronald Moore on the end of The Sopranos (ganked from the discussion thread over at Making Light).

8. Teen arrested for recording police at a traffic stop. Even less excusable than the actions of the cops is the behavior of fucktard DA Jaime Keating (always a surname that conveys integrity), who has the balls to say, "But people who do things like this do so at their own peril."

9. Yet another (good) article on free fiction and how it affects sales (the focus here is on Cory Doctorow, Peter Watts, and David Wellington.

10. Wireless energy!
