Not spending a lot of time online today. Am actually taking the day off from work, but spending some time away from the computer will help me de-stress a bit.
1. Elayna is doing well. Still in some pain, of course, but she wanted to go to school today, and is excited to see her friends. We'll get the police report today (or at least request it -- I'm not sure how the process works), and see what claims we have to file. shadesong and I both had multiple moments yesterday where it hit us just how lucky we got. It's scary (and draining).
2.shadesong tied for BARCC Volunteer of the Year, and will be giving the keynote speech at the annual BARCC gala! Yay (and as a bonus, it means I get to attend, since she gets her date comped; tickets are normally insanely out of our price range).
