Because she apparently designed (or, following George Foreman's model, put her name on) an Egg McMuffin toaster!

Of course, it does need a way to warm meat (bacon would be ideal, but a thin slice of ham is traditional), but it's still a huge step in culinary technology.

(And no, it's not something I actually need at all. But man, am I glad to live in a world in which such marvels exist.)

Via this article on lion meat at CNN, I've discovered the web page of Czimers. According to their products page, they carry some fascinating stuff, ranging from more traditional game -- pheasant, quail, buffalo, ostrich -- to the more unusual fare. You could almost see Marlon Brando in The Freshman shopping here.

And no, for the record, lion's one of the few game meats I really don't find myself with any interest in eating; I'm just not sure if the idea of eating a cat is something my stomach can overcome.

Some of the other ones on here, however, intrigue me.

Having taken Continental to task for their baggage policies (and having heard nothing but horrible things about them from everybody), I do want to at least give them props for printing security passes for [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and me so we could accompany Elayna to the gate yesterday. Last time we dealt with her flying alone (Delta, I think, although it could have been Airtran), we paid for the "privilege" of letting one person through with her. Here, they let us both through for free.

Logan TSA was their usual fun self, getting all confused because Elayna had both an ereader and a video game system in her bag, but happily letting me through even though my security pass had a different name than my ID.

The Asylum -- the high-end production studio known for quality movies like The Da Vinci Treasure, Snakes on a Train, and The Day the Earth Stopped -- is making Mega Python vs Gatoroid for the Network Formerly Known as Sci-Fi. And they've cast Tiffany and Debbie Gibson on opposite sides* and will have them fight.

Now if only they can get Robin Sparkles to appear in the inevitable sequel ("Mega Python vs Gatoroid vs The Übertoad," of course)

*Yes, there are really "sides" here.
