It was one of a ridiculous number of good shows that failed to find traction on ABC in the years surrounding the strike (the fact that it was intelligent and quirky and didn't have a laugh track to let people know when nerds were being funny like on Big Bang Theory didn't help, although those were all reasons I loved it), and had about as talented a cast as any comedy this side of Arrested Development (including one of the stars of that show).

Malcolm Barrett -- "Lem" from BoT -- is also a rapper going by the name "Verbal," and he got the cast (minus the littler girl) back together for his video "Revenge of the Nerds:"

I stopped at the library and picked up [livejournal.com profile] shadesong's copy of The Hidden Goddess, by M.K. Hobson. 'song then started telling [livejournal.com profile] sindrian and me about the various things she likes about the series.

Eventually, we had
'song: This has the best character name in sci-fi and fantasy right now: Dreadnought Stanton

Me: So I wonder if the editor came up with that name, or if it was Hobson's choice?

Because seriously, passing up on a pun like that would have been criminal.
