Kitty update

First, as some of you know, we've started a community for auctioning items to help pay off Victoria's surgery. You can also find posts with info about straight-up donating there, of course, but there's some wonderful stuff, from knitted goods to jewelry to baked goods to custom writing and crosswords. The community is kittycyborg.

Victoria's off the hardcore narcotics, and has much more of an appetite, having wolfed down half a can of wet food this morning before I left for work. She's also not happy about being confined to a cage, using her best pitiful meows whenever anyone's around. We do let her out for controlled periods so she can cuddle and have some freedom, but she eventually decides she wants to go for a long walk, which is a Bad Idea, and thus goes back in the cage.

She's also learned to stand on her hind legs and bat at the roof of the cage, which is both adorable and pointless.

Anyway, that's where things currently stand.
