Amazon's DVD Deal of the Week is 60% off Star Wars: Clone Wars, with DVD season sets going for $17.99 and Blu-Ray sets going for $23.99 each.

There's also a huge HBO sale, with 50% off Boardwalk Empire, Rome, Sex and the City, Deadwood, and The Wire, and large discounts on a lot of other HBO series.

Army of Darkness: The Screwhead Edition is $9.99 (63% off) on Blu-Ray.

The three-disc Blu-Ray/DVD 40th Anniversary Edition of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is $27.99 (57% off).

The three-movie "Make Alan Moore Eat His Beard" Blu-Ray pack of V for Vendetta, Watchmen, and Constantine is $16.49 (34% off, but about $10 below what the three movies would cost separately).

There are also a handful of already-cheap Blu-Ray DVDs, each of which has a $3 instant coupon on the page; click on the coupon link to get the better price. The prices I've listed are the after-coupon deals (all of which are at least 50% off, some as high as 75% off): The Usual Suspects ($7.49), Slumdog Millionaire, Walk the Line ($6.49), Independence Day ($5.99), and Some Like it Hot ($7.99).

In video games, Bit Trip Complete for the Wii is $29.99 (25% off).

Finally, for the sportswriting fans, the Kindle Daily Deal is Hate Mail from Cheerleaders: And Other Adventures in the Life of Reilly, Rick Reilly's latest book, for $.99 (90% off).

It's poor video quality (and not available on Hulu for some reason), but this fake ad from SNL summarizes how I feel about Bowl season pretty nicely:

Woohoo!

The Party Down movie is a go, and Megan Mullally (who did some of her best work in Season 2). Adam Scott and the rest of the cast (minus Jane Lynch) had already been confirmed.
