Amazon's got a
huge horror movie sale, not really a shock at this time of the year. Deals range as high as 50-75% off, and include some absolutely classics like Evil Dead and Halloween, some fun schlock like Killer Klowns from Outer Space, some crap (Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 in three different editions!), and just about everything in between. There are literally over 1300 DVDs and Blu-Rays in the sale, and it covers the gamut of horror. My personal favorite deasl in the batch are
The Addams Family and Addams Family Values paired together on DVD for $6.85 (54% off) and the really underappreciated remake of
The Crazies for $6.67 on Blu-Ray, but if you like horror at all, there's something for you in the sale.
Prometheus is $19.99 for a Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo pack (50% off).
28 Days Later is $7.99 on Blu-Ray (53% off), and
28 Weeks Later is $7.98 (68% off) on Blu-Ray. In both cases, the Blu-Ray is the same as or cheaper than the DVD (they might be a part of the sale above, but I found them separately).
Similarly, the two-disc Blu-Ray/DVD pack of
Madagascar is $9.99 (50% off), the same price as the DVD.
The 3D/Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo pack of
Hugo is $19.99 (64% off).
IMAX: Under the Sea 3D (for Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray) is $20 (56% off).
On regular DVD,
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is $10.73 (64% off).
The Kindle Daily Deal is on Michael Oren's
Six Days of War for $1.99!
In MP3, there's yet another cheap themed classical album, this time
66 Must-Have Sensual Classics (ranging from Carmen to The Nutcracker to Bolero to a polka) for $.99, or less than two cents per song. Alternatively, you can nab
The 99 Most Essential Classical Pieces in Movies for $1.99.
If you're a college sports fan (or the parent of one), the
basic NCAA backpacks are on sale for 70% off, ranging from $7.50-$12.49.
Finally, in video games,
Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack for the Xbox is $39.99 (43% off). No price drop on other platforms for some reason.
