There are almost no situations in which I'd wish death on anyone (it's frankly hypocritical to oppose the death penalty and think otherwise). That said, I certainly don't believe that dying releases someone from criticism.

Frankly, I'll no more mourn Thatcher now that she's passed than I did Dahmer. She was important, and she broke ground, but she did not do good with her life and her opportunities. And yes, I've got the Oysterband's "Jam Tomorrow" going through my head.

Today I turn 41. That's more cakes than Lex Luthor has ever stolen at one time.

I'm celebrating by once again spending more time in meetings or scheduled events today than I'll spend getting actual work done. Because management life is teh glamour.

That this is a typical schedule is also why my posting pace on LJ has remained steadily low, alas, as has my ability to read in anything but spurts. I do have plans to change that eventually

We had a good weekend at the BARCC Walk for Change (you can still sponsor our team here) and Friendly Toast, plus some great conversations with friends as well.

Off to HR training.
