Facebook hate, again
Jan. 22nd, 2014 11:05 amI posted a few weeks ago about how much I hate Facebook for real interaction.
Here's a great video that talks in more detail about the problems with the Facebook feed. It's really worth your six minutes.
I still find FB useful for many things (co-worker discussions, following Arisia discussion threads, etc), but it's an awful way to share non-ephemeral content. I only just noticed that someone added me a while back to a group for former LJ users. Screw that; I'm no former LJ user, and if LJ pulls the plug, I'll find the best home I can elsewhere (I'm already cross-posting to DW, of course). Give me real content to read any day, and content I can control, whether through my LJ feed, my RSS reader, or some other method. If I wanted someone to curate what I read, I'd be on Reddit and Metafilter, but FB has no clue what actually interests me.
