There was a rumour going around the other day, but then it turned out not to be true. So now I'm not sure what to think. Maybe he had a relapse from whatever stoked the first rumour.
He had cancer and was in hospice care and someone jumped the gun earlier this week. His memorial has been scheduled for April 20th in St. Paul at a funeral home there.
My condolences to his family. It's been a sad few years for the progenitors of table top rpgs. First, Mike Ford, then Gary Gygax, and now Dave Arneson.
