Can't stand with them, can't oppose them

yendiSo, you know how Kansas was attempting (until yesterday) to pass a pro-discrimination bill?
Notice how it gets exactly no mention at places like Instapundit or RedState at all? (I searched both sites; I'll avoid searching any others, as the venom spewed on them is nasty even when just skimming)
Maybe -- just maybe -- it's because these folks have hitched their bandwagons to the true asshats who push for bills like this, but are still managed by people with an iota of sense. If they come out for the bills, it's an acknowledgment that they're nothing more than hatemongering motherfuckers, but if they oppose it, they risk bringing down bile from what has become their base.
I'd pity them, if they hadn't basically made their own bed here.
