On the latest Ben Roethlisberger rape accusation, King says:

If he's at fault, he has got to grow up.

Um, no.

If he's at fault, he needs to go to jail and get the fuck out of the NFL.

Rapists don't need to "grow up." This isn't some childish thing that people grow out of. No one tells murderers and arsonists to "grow up." This is shitty journalism, period.

On the plus side, I've got one less subscription to keep up with in Google Reader now.

As near as I can tell, the schedule for next year isn't out yet, but if the Steelers play in Foxboro, I fully expect that Pats fans to bring signs saying something akin to "RAPISTS OUT OF THE NFL!".

It's not a universal Boston-area trait, but we tend to be very hard on wife-beaters here (even ones who play for us). A rapist should get much harsher treatment, in a way that cannot be edited out of the live sound of the game.

Because THAT is very true. In that case, the man needs a "Come to Jesus" meeting/"Dutch Uncle" talk from Tony Dungy in the worst way. Dumb@$$ doesn't cover it. BTW, on Mike & Mike in the Morning, they said that people have wondered dit the Giants make the right move drafting Eli rather than Ben and the feeling is here 6 years later...YES they did. I just don't see Eli as this dumb@$$/evil.

Yes. Yes. Yes. A million times yes. But the NFL won't do anything unless and until he's convicted. Charges won't be enough. Innocent until proven guilty. Which is the way it should be. But I get the feeling Godell is going to throw several books at him if he gets convicted.

If he's at fault, he would have hired the lawyer that got Ray Lewis off a murder charge....wait, he did? Yeah, THAT doesn't look suspicious.

And the best part of Peter King's columns is reading how Big Daddy Drew at KSK destroys them for being awful every Monday. It's not the highlight of the week, but it is a great way to start it.
