Decided to give South Park another chance, but had to give up halfway through. Lumping abusers (Charlie Sheen) and rapists (Ben Roethlisberger) in as "sex addicts" pretty much undercuts the entire point of the episode.

Good thing I don't have Comedy Central access anyway, because I'd've wanted to avoid this episode based just on the news item of what they would try to tackle.

A lot of people really don't "get" sex addiction. We're still getting news reports asking if it really exists.

And abuse sucks. As does hurting people. Which the others cited actively did.

To divert the topic slightly, what do you think was South Park's jump-the-shark moment?

While I agree with you the lumping was lame as they also lumped in Carradine's accidental suicide in there.

I think the main focus which became cluttered through too many culture references was that the media leaps on these stories and that we always ask "How?" and we never have an answer and now instead of "That's just how it is"... we can blame Alien Wizards and money.

From an animation standpoint ONLY the monkey rapes were VISUALLY crazy funny... but not funny haha... more funny WTF!?!@ which is what I think Trey and Matt care about... I mean really... if they were really being political, they'd be more clear.

The last SP ep I enjoyed was the in S1 where the zombies all had "pink eye".

It never got funnier and I dumped it.

Catching an ep several years ago where a little boy was being anally violated by some machine repulsed me enough that I would never even consider watching it again.
