By all indications, there's not much to the story here, as it's basically like the Zappo's deal, and Woot will remain autonomous. That said, the memo from the Woot CEO is one of the funniest things I've read recently.

Email between me and my editor, after I sent out a "we're covering this" note:

Him: Cool that you're doing a write.

Me: Their "press release" on the deal was a video featuring a rap about it by their stuffed monkey mascot. There is no way I am passing up a story where we can get a rapping monkey in the lede.
