Four episodes in. . .
Oct. 16th, 2010 01:30 pmI think that Detroit 1-8-7 might be my favorite new show of the (admittedly-weak) season, by a long shot. It's a straight-up police procedural, but it's nicely crafted, with a variety of fun characters and good cases. Of course, I seem to be the only one watching it, based on its ratings, but if you were a fan of, say, Homicide, it's worth checking out (with the obvious warning that this is not a David Simon show).
Also, I'm not sure I've seen any veteran show rediscover its footing as well as CSI (original flavor) has over the last season and change. The first four episodes this year were about as tight as any the show has produced.
