[Poll #1799514]

(Yes, I know there are four other seasons of the show. They were left off the list because, no matter how good "Hush" and "Once More With Feeling" were, the overall seasons weren't strong.)

I'm torn. While I think the Mayor's season was the best, I'm sad that Glory's not getting some love. I thought she was a terrific Big Bad. Of course, that season also introduces Dawn and her whining. So the Mayor it is.

Lesbians. When did we first get Lesbians?

Really? I thought Glory's season was one of the weaker ones. There were a lot of cool events, but Glory as a Big Bad left me cold.

Yeah, that was my thought pattern too..

Tough choice...

Though I ultimately choose The Mayor, Glory was neck and neck to the finish line.

It takes more than a Big Bad to make a season. The first season was teen-campy; the second season was dark as hell. The third successfully blended the two into a balance of fun and freaky, with barely a bad episode in the whole run.

That took some deciding, as S.5 is where I started watching the show (well, the S.4 finale with the linked dreams then the fifth season). But overall, my fondness for S.5 aside, I do now think S.3's the strongest. Worth thinking about!

I was torn between 3 and 5, but 3 wins because I adore the Mayor, and I think the whole Faith arc is kind of wonderful.

On the one hand, Angelus was the series' best villain, cause with him it was personal. On the other hand, you asked about which was the strongest season, which of the three that you quote was definitely three, for the reasons [livejournal.com profile] reannon cites.

So, three it is.

Yes. I do love Glory. And there is a lot about that season I adore, too. But the whole Faith/Mayor dynamic trumps it for me.

Also, I just adore Mr Trick. :)

It always kind of surprises me that Season 3 is my favorite, and I don't really know why. But when I think of Buffy, that's sort of the place my brain goes.
