New Evil Dead Trailer

This is a red band trailer. Don't even think of watching if horror or gore squick you. Seriously. This is a remake of the original The Evil Dead, the one that was scary (and whose rare funny bits were often unintentional).

And yeah, I'm stoked for it. Given the involvement of Raimi, Campbell, and Diablo Cody on the back end, and Jane Levy as the star, I think it's got a lot of potential. No, it doesn't star Bruce Campbell, but he's done one horror movie in the last ten years (since The Woods), and clearly isn't about to play Ash again.

But seriously, people. This is an intense trailer. You've been warned.

Raimi remembers the lesson from Drag Me To Hell, that anything gross is way grosser if it is coming in or out of people's mouths.

I was able to handle it until the bit with the tongue. I enjoyed the original, but to be fair I preferred Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness.
