Target: Not just for underwear anymore

Target will be selling DC-comics summer lawn items and furniture. shadesong has already requested a Batman snack cup.

I'm normally a great fan of Target and a ton of their stuff and I heartily approve of them carrying DC Comics stuff.

But pink and purple Wonder Woman stuff?!? What the hell? The press release talks about this stuff being in part inspired by New 52 and while I've not looked at that stuff much, I'm pretty sure they didn't up and make Wonder Woman wear pink and purple! (They didn't, right? That would be horrendous!)

I suppose this is their way of trying to market Wonder Woman to girls and I just do not understand. Pink & purple does not equal girly and certainly does not equal Womder Woman. Aieeeee.

Well, in fairness, the New 52 is awful, poorly thought out, and generally insulting to comics fans, so it sounds like this actually exceeds the expectations they're setting out.

There's no such thing as too much TT merch. I'm hoping the new show will lead to more licensed stuff.
