Political memory is short, so for those who don't remember, here's the Senate vote on Hurricane Sandy relief.

Note the presence of Inhofe and Coburn in the "no" column.

When they inevitable request aid for OK, yes, they'll be a pair of hypocritical bastards.

No, it doesn't mean OK should be denied the aid; the request is legitimate, and the people need help, not a pointless lesson in what a pair of shits they've elected.

But the senators themselves damned well deserve to be raked over the fucking coals. And to get the fuck out of our government.

(FYI, for those who don't know, my roots are in OK; my mom grew up in OK, and although I no longer have any family near any of the affected areas, it's still a part of my childhood.)

My thoughts exactly. I've been biting my tongue, but will be posting something similar as soon as the inevitable request for federal aid is made.

I will also be looking for someone to point out exactly how it is that God targeted multiple elementary schools to make a point about gay marriage.

Tom Coburn says tornado relief must be offset by cuts elsewhere (http://www.forwardprogressives.com/pathetic-oklahoma-senator-tom-coburn-says-cuts-must-be-made-before-hell-support-tornado-relief/). This makes him either the biggest douchebag I've read about lately, or it's a covering move so he can duck the hypocrite label later. Actually, I'm not sure if that wouldn't be even more douchey, now that I think about it.

It's too much work; it's much easier to just report the stuff that won't piss anyone off, or (barring that), the stuff that doesn't involve any actual investigation.

Either way, he's the biggest douchebag I've read about recently. The non-douchey way to duck the hypocrite label would be to admit he'd been a total asshole re: Sandy. He's just doubling down on doucheyness, and using the dead bodies of children to do it.
