Sigh. Bill Jemas, asshole-in-chief at Marvel, posted the following on the Newsarama message boards:

Just left a brainstorming session at Marvel. We were coming up with new titles for fan sites. The winners: SnoozeArama, Fuss Factory, Idiot Savant Magazine, Silver Bullet Pamphlets, Comic Book Fallacy, Zero Realm.
Sequential Tart was a hot debate among (1) Sequential Whores (kinda course), (2) Sequential Sluts (even more course, but kinda catchy) and my favorite, (3) Sequential Girls (because Bill know best how to push people’s buttons). Those are the choices.

Aside from the fact that he attacked the sites that are considered the biggest news sites, he also made horrendously sexist and offensive comments. And the worst part? He's not a writer or editor. He's the fucking president of the company. What a fucking moron.

The folks at Sequential Tart responded with grace and dignity on their web page, refusing to sink to his level.

But really, Quesada so needs to bitch slap Jemas, it's not even funny.

*blinks*

I'm surprised in our sue-happy society that he hasn't landed in court for harrassment or slander or something along those lines.

Still, the sheer dignity of the response and the fact that they dropped the subject like a bad date and went on to happier things make me respect Sequential Tart. and thankee for the site - I hit the world of comics so rarely, I either need five hours to browse a comic shop or a good guide to what's interesting without having to buy six back-issues to understand the current one.
