Just placed our order to Westfield (one day before it's due). Here's what on the list, with some notes:


Comics are listed in the same order Westfield listed them, because I'm lazy.

Birds of Prey 47 -- I've never been overwhelmed by this series, but with Terry Moore on it, I'll give it a shot. No one, in my opinion, should have been allowed to touch Oracle after Ostrander ended his run on Suicide Squad.
Green Arrow 17 -- Gotta give Brad Meltzer a chance. His novels are fun.
Green Lantern: Evil's Might 2 -- Chaykin is always an automatic buy for me.
Powerpuff Girls 30 -- for Elayna, of course.
Smallville: The Comic
Supergirl 74 -- Peter David's second story arc hits its penultimate issue. Yes, the second fucking arc. It's that complex (and good) a story.
Young Justice 49
Codename: Knockout 17 If you're not reading this, you're missing the most fun title around. I love Robert Rodi.
Fables 5 -- Bill Willingham is a long-time favorite (he was so far ahead of the pack with Elementals), and I'm really happy to see the success he's had with Vertigo recently.
DV8: Neighborhood Threat (tpb) -- Never read it, but shadesong says it's great, and it's Ellis.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Book 1 TPB
Planetary / JLA: Terra Occulta
Captain Marvel (Ross cover) 1 -- part of the "U-decide" bullshit. I'm deciding to refuse to spend my money on the Quesada or Jemas offereings.
Amazing Spider-Man 45
B-Sides 1 I've always liked tales of loser superhero teams (and yet, I hated the rebooted Legion -- it's the characters, not the writers, who should be losers).

Incredible Hulk Vol. 2 (tpb) -- I've missed out on way too much of the Bruce Jones run on this title.
Peter Parker, Spider-Man 48 -- For all that the JMS title gets the hype and the big plotlines, Paul Jenkins is the one writing Spidey with the best feel for the character.
Spider-Man / Black Cat: Evil That Men Do 4
X-Statix 3 -- Pete Milligan is writing the first great X-title in nearly ten years.

Apache Skies 3 -- John Ostrander has really mastered the western (and everything else he's tried, not counting that Punisher run)
Scion Vol. 3: Divided Loyalties (tpb)
Another Chance to Get It Right (3rd ed.) (tpb) -- the one Vachss book I've been looking for, and it's finally coming back in print.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Willow & Tara -- it's about damned time! Three months between issues? With art this crappy, it had better be because Amber's script is taking a while.
Grendel: Red, White & Black 1 -- I used to want to be Grendel when I grew up.

Soulsearchers 56 -- subject of my first Chud column!
Colonia Bargain Bag of Booty -- I picked up one issue from the Sequential tart booth at Megacon, and was very impressed. And no, it's not what you think! It's about pirates.

Ceres, Celestial Legend Vol. 1: Ayuhi (tpb) -- one of shadesong's mangas.
Wizard (Superman vs. Goku cover) 133 All 'song -- I could do without Wizard. I can read bad writing elsewhere for free.
Alice in Sexland 6 -- Umm. Well. I'm a big fan of the Lewis Caroll work. That's the ticket.
