Of all the songs running through my head, why do I have "In Your Room," by the Bangles? I mean, it's hardly the first song anyone things of when they harken back to the days of Banglemania, and I haven't heard it for years.

Mind you, Susanna Hoffs was one of the people who got me through puberty (and I'd watch anything she was in, not counting The All-Nighter, which was actually completely unwatchable, even by lab rats), but you'd think I'd be flashing back to something I've actually heard somewhat recently.

The Bangles were technically somewhat before my time, but that doesn't stop them being one of my favourite bands ever. In Your Room isn't as immediately catchy as many of the others, but it seems to stick a lot better. There's another - Going Down to Liverpool? -

"Going down to Liverpool / Do nothing, all the days of my life" -

which, although it's not as catchy as Eternal Flame, keeps on popping into my head.

then again, there isn't a one of them I'd kick out of bed, except perhaps the bassist in a pinch, since I always found her vaguely creepy.

Great music, though.
