According to Yahoo, poor Katherine Harris was forced to resign immediately (instead of essentially taking leave) during her congressional run. Turns out she didn't understand the laws properly.

Yeah, but she'll likely pay for that by winning herself a seat in Congress, where she is free to misinterpret national law, and even worse, legislate!

I'll remain optimistic that, at the least, Jeb will use her as a sacrificial lamb.

Besides, she won't be involved in counting the votes in her race, which will make winning it a lot tougher (dunno enough about Jim Smith to know if he has any ethics).
