Aug. 31st, 2002 10:11 amMy Dragoncon schedule, posted mainly because
shadesong asked for it:
Today
1:00 -- Forensic Pathology 101. Maybe I can get my book kick-started again with some ideas.
2:30: -- Either A) An Hour With Ted Raimi or B) Myths and Legends
4:00 -- Jhonen Vasquez (though if it gets cancelled, I'll head for Forensic Pathology 201)
5:30 -- Writing in comics.
Tomorrow
10:00 Iron Artist 2 (electric Boogaloo)!
11:00 -- An Hour with Peter David. One of my favorite writers, and one of the most entertaining writers in person, as well.
1:00 -- Andromeda Season 2. Yeah, it's a guilty pleasure, but I like the show, dammit.
Or
1:00 -- David Mack. Unlike
shadesong, I merely like his writing, not his appearance, so I'm a bit more torn here.
2:30 -- The Mighty Marvel Today Panel
7:00 -- Atlanta Radio Theatre Company.
Monday
10:00 Bab5 Cast reunion
2:30 -- Breaking into Comics
4:00 Firefly
As always, I may add or delete other events, but that's my current set of plans.

Date: 2002-08-31 08:41 am (UTC)I remember watching him put together issues of Kabuki at the Florence, Ky, Kinko's. And the 1996 calandar. Great guy, wonderful talent. Hope he rocks the socks.
Hope he doesn't break any hearts.

Date: 2002-08-31 05:26 pm (UTC)The show is dead. There's one episode left, the Christmas one, but that's it. Nickelodeon owns all rights, which means they could revive it, but not with him (or Roman, who, it turns out, didn't write all those good episodes (not surprising, since he's not a very good writer), but came up with the good jumping-off points that Jhonen and the other writers would use). Basically, they killed it because most of the execs were morons. For the most part, the only really false rumor I've seen is the one that Butt-Ugly Martians was owned by Viacom, and therefore would make them more money. That's clearly untrue (other than execs maybe seeing more toy potential there). He ragged on the quality of the Hot Topic merchandise, too -- do NOT bring him a Gir doll to have signed.

Date: 2002-09-01 03:55 am (UTC)Yup, but Jhonen didn't seem very optimistic about the idea, alas.
