Shadesong was exhausted after watching Ocean's Eleven (the good one, not the orignal -- how often does one get to use that phrase?). I stayed up, and saw that Blair Witch 2 was on TMC. Never having seen it, I figured I'd give it a try.
It was bad. Really bad. I won't have nightmares about the horror aspects of the movie. I'll have nightmares about the making of the movie. I'll be dreading encountering a single line from the script for weeks to come. I'll shudder at the thought of the bad angles substituting for real direction (a flaw of the overrated original, as well). I'll be forced to hit the IMDB to make sure that Berlinger or the screenwriters isn't involved in a film I'm interested in. I'm pretty sure I've got no worries about ever seeing any of the actors again, at least.
Anyway, the point is, Blair Witch 2 sucked, but failed to suck in any way that made it redeemable. Most of it wouldn't even be good MST3K fodder. Just crap. At least I didn't make the mistake of buying the DVD.
