In an attempt to prepare me for Chicago, it's currently 40 degrees outside.

Of course, that's the low today in Atlanta, and the high in the Windy City. Methinks I'll pack a few sweaters.

Added: Why the fuck is "cold" an official LJ mood? It's not a mood? It's a physical sensation, dammit!

"Hot" is a mood too. I guess if you're one or the other, it's all you can think about.

Pack a coat, mittens and a muffler too. The wind will knock your socks off up there.

You live in the south a while and your blood gets thin. You'll love the cold up there, it'll make you appreciate what little cold we get that much more.

A muffler? Christ on a seatless bike -- I haven't owned one of those in ten years. I'll have to do some serious drawer-searching, as I may well have a ski mask or something around here.

What little is right. I want to be able to count on snow.

I do realize that I haven't really been North during wintertime in ages. All of my trips in NYC over the last few years were in the summertime. My trips to Ottawa have been in the summer and fall (and the latter was unseasonably warm). I think the last time I really encountered cold was when I visited ariadnesthread in DC a few years back.

You can count on snow. You can count on it to happen in colorado. You can count on it to happen in vermont. You can count on it to happen a lot in North Dakota. And you can count on it to stay well enough away from Atlanta.

"Hot" is a mood too.

So are "hungry," "thirsty," "drunk," "high," and "horny," none of which are really moods per se, though I suppose they can affect your moods.

A muffler is not absolutely required, unless you're planning on doing a lot of outdoor walking. A coat, a hat, and gloves or mittens are really, really necessary right now.

And actually, a muffler would be a good idea too. :^)

I did read your post. I just didn't remember what the weather was when you were here. So I assumed it was snowy. :) I always assume it was snowy.
