Well, I haven't been anywhere, actually. But we've had lots of stuff going on -- [livejournal.com profile] shadesong's birthmom was with us for a few days (and sleeping in the room I normally use as my office), plus the house was packed all day for Thanksgiving and the day after, and frankly, I just haven't had time to sit at the computer.

So, if you've said anything in the last few days that I absolutely must see, email it to me. Because there are about a thousand entries on my Friends page since I last checked, and I don't have that much patience (although I'll attempt to skim).

I won't post detailed highlights of the last few days, as I don't have the time or patience to chronicle it all. But highlights:

Meeting new folks, including [livejournal.com profile] technoshaman, [livejournal.com profile] jenkitty, and [livejournal.com profile] averyslave ( as well as [livejournal.com profile] hotcoffeems's LJ-less hubby, Dan).

Seeing folks I hadn't seen in a long time, like Gwynraven (whose car chose to die on the trip down here, leading to an emergency rescue on Thanksgiving Day) and the always-delectable [livejournal.com profile] one_woman_army.

Seeing all the rest of the folks, because you can never see good people too often.

Pigging out. I must've put down about 10,000 calories in each of the last two days. The pumpkin pie is now gone, which removes one temptation. Ditto the poultry. But there's all sort of other goodies left.

Watching A Very Muppet Christmas last night. Oh my fucking god! This movie is unbelievable! They must release it on DVD (right now, it's only on video, and only from NBC directly). It rocked. There's no longer a need for Meet the Feebles -- this accomplished almost the exact same thing!

Afterwards, we all watched Moulin Rouge, as there were a number of folks who hadn't seen it who needed to.

Oh, and Hanukkah has started (even if Google refuses to acknowledge it, and keeps the Thanksgiving logo up instead)! Hooray (even if it means a horrible-looking Adam Sandler movie gets released)! So far, my loot has included the new Wild Cards book from [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and Paul Brandon's Swim the Moon from [livejournal.com profile] shadesong's birthmom.

Um, I think that's it. It's been a whirlwind couple of days. Now I'm off to drink more Autumn Harvest coffee (yummy blend we found at Kroger the other day). And maybe pile on a few more calories.
