Sunday morning thoughts
Feb. 2nd, 2003 11:26 amSo, I didn't really feel like posting yesterday, thanks to the Shuttle. Pretty much every thought on the topic I could have had was posted by others. I'm still stunned. And I'm still an avid supporter of our space program, which grows more and more necessary each day Bush and his cronies fuck up the planet. And that's all I have to say on the subject.

I've also made a health decision -- for now, at least, I'm going to scale back on my semi-vegetarianism. The problem has been that I've basically deprived myself to the point where I'd fall off the wagon and eat something extra unhealthy (like fried chicken), or my veggie choices would be things like french fries. So, poultry is now a regular option for me, which will hopefully lead to some smarter eating choices, especially when I eat out. And, of course, I need to combine it with some healthier eating in general, but I'm aware of that.

Last night,
anexstacy and
thebaronofmspg stopped by for a moment, and we convinced them to stay to watch Josie and the Pussycats, which is still one fo the most underrated movies of all time. They enjoyed it (who wouldn't?), and a good time was had by all. Oh, and
shadesong also convinced them to help move the armoire (which was too big for me to move by myself, and
shadesong's back wasn't allowing her to help).
The rest of Saturday was pretty layabout. Elayna had karate in the morning, followed by lunch at Bagel Palace, where the waitress recognizes us and has our coffee and pink lemonade ready (it's nice to be a regular). Elayna sold her two boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, even. :-) I had my poultry epiphany there, in fact, ordering a turkey sandwich with mustard instead of my usual omelet or whitefish salad sandwich. The rest of the day was just spent on cleaning. Nice to have a day with no obligations.

And in news of the weird, McG, the nameless person who directed Charlies Angels, has announced his latest project: Hot Wheels, the Movie. Can the Matchbox franchise be far behind?

Date: 2003-02-02 10:09 pm (UTC)This pretty much sums up my reaction too.
And I agree wholeheartedly about "Josie & The Pussycats" too.
Underrated is the new overrated!
