So, over the last two days, we finally saw the last three weeks worth of Gilmore. Thoughts:

First, I'm really enjoying the Paris/Rory plot. Both of them have fucked up (more Rory than Paris, though), both have been childish (more Paris than Rory), and both are generally outcasts. And they both, on some level, really want to be best friends. I just really like how the show is handling things. And for the first time ever, I've actually liked the principal.

Second, Lorelai is going to have to stop lying to Luke. I don't care what the excuse is -- she's lied at least twice about her dating situation. That's a violation of trust, and it's going to come back to bite her in the ass. Sure, we know why she's doing it (that whole chemistry thing she has with him), but that's not an excuse.

Third, I really like the people that Lorelai and Luke are dating. Not that I expect either of them to last, but they're fun so far.

Fourth, I actually liked Jess on the most recent episode! He was still a jerk, but he was also a jerk in the right. And I loved the real reason he got a shiner!

Fifth, I hate the woman who got Rory to NYC for her sister's birth. Hate her on all levels, including the "believable caricature" one. I also could do without Madchen's character, who gets sillier each time (and, as [livejournal.com profile] shadesong pointed out, has apparently died her hair bright blonde late in pregnancy, not a wise idea).

Sixth, um. It's still got the best dialogue on TV. I love the opening sequences!

Anyway, that's all.
