"Can I watch The Music Man?"

We'd Tivoed last night's remake of the classic, starring Matthew Broderick, and Elayna and I started watching it live, as I hadn't realized it would be three hours long. She watched it for almost an hour after I left for Blood Bowl, even, and was eager to finish it this morning. It's so nice seeing her appreciate a musical (especially a long one -- the tv version of Annie is the only other non-animated one she's watched all the way through). I've got to give credit to the folks at Wonderful World of Disney -- they've done a great job.

I completely forgot that was on last night -- I wanted to see it. Seems to me that after Ferris Bueller, Matthew Broderick is a natural for the part. If they follow their practice of late, though, they should be releasing it on video in a month or so.

I will never be able to watch Alias again without snickering. *swoon* I looooove Victor Garber.

AIIIGH! I FORGOT!

Was too busy being sick, I guess....

But, I'd heard reviews that said "It's hard to see a cute cuddly Broderick as a slick huckster" and I was having my doubts. Did he really pull it off, considering the intensity of the role? Or, was he still Ferris?
