Long weekend

yendiSo, since our router has decided to lose its connection every few minutes, I was pretty much cut off from the net this weekend. I thought about writing a huge, cut-tagged post about the weekend, but I don't think I'll have time. So I'll hit the highlights:

morenasangre and farren visiting. I've said it plenty of times before, but here it is again: These are two of my favorite people in the world, and are family to me. Much fun was had. Many games were played. Lots of passive voice was used.
2. Elayna getting her blue belt in Karate. We really didn't think she was ready, but she really pulled through. I'm so damned proud of her.
3. The Oscars, which were surprisingly entertaining, and even if the awards didn't go exactly as I'd have liked (and I'll be ranting about one aspect of them later), the ceremony was thoroughly watch-able, a rare event. Steve Martin deserves some serious moolah and praise.
Umm, that's it. We need a new router (with wireless). Ack! I hate having shitty connections at home.
