Just got an email from Georgia Tech. The College of Computing is getting rid of their non-credit program, which includes the Certificate in Project Management that I've been working on. The QA course I've got scheduled for later this month is still on, but that's it.

Fuck.

Fucking fuckity fuck.

With a spoon.

It's not even the certificate itself (which is really just a validation of work done, and meaningless without a PMBOK certification, which costs an obscene amount of dough), but rather my need to take the remaining courses.

I'm hoping that since the instructors are all PMBOK folks (not actually GA Tech folks), that another cont ed center will pick up the program. But the one that GA Tech ran (located right next to the Arts Center) was damned convenient.

Feh.

What the hell? I've never heard of a school cancelling a program without grandfathering through the people who are currently IN that program.

Still, it's just remarkably unprofessional of them... not to mention inconsiderate. But I guess I'm not telling you anything you wouldn't already know.
