May. 20th, 2003 09:19 amFrom the last five songs iTunes has played before this one (my entire MP3 library set on shuffle, of course):
I'm gonna take this itty bitty world by storm,
And I'm just gettin' warm
I asked her her name, she said her name was "Maybe."
When you're counting on a killing
Always count me in
to me into losin' just as long as I can win
I found my mind on the ground below
I was looking down, it was looking back
I was in the sky all dressed in black
The white ones and red ones, and some you can't disguise.
Twisted truth and half the news, can't hide it in your eyes.
What, you expected profound? Three songs from the '80s, and two others that are spiritually from the '80s. There ain't nothing profound about it. The point is, all five are cheesy songs I like, and they came up nicely in order. Bonus points to the first to identify them all (four of them were released as singles, three of them got significant airplay, and two had heavy-rotation music videos, back when such things were played on MTV).
