Lyrics 2, the revenge
May. 20th, 2003 02:16 pmYes, another nice streak (which actually continued afterwards into some Moxy and Great Big Sea, but the ones here are all pop songs).
Tinted windows don't mean nothin'; they know who's inside.
Ain't got money
Ain't got no gas
But we'll get where we're going
If we swing real fast
I've been an alley cat I lived nine lives
And like a fine wine I'm better with time
Like a diamondback rattlesnake
I'd have the rattle if it had the shake
I lost my soul when I felt to earth
My planets called me to the void of my birth
The time has come for me to kill this game
Now open wide and say my name
She was a be-bop baby on a hard day's night
Lookin' for love in all the wrong places
No fine girls just ugly faces
It seems my weaknesses
Just keep going strong
No wrong, no right
I'm gonna tell you there's no black and no white
With one exception, all are either from the '80s, or might as well be. The one that's firmly rooted in the '90s was also the biggest hit ever for that group. There's only one song here that I think might not have been released as a single. I think this one's easier than the last batch by far.
Bonus point: One of these was recorded as the theme song for a movie. However, because of its presence on another album (as well as the actual words of the song), people often assume it's from a different movie. Name both movies. :-)
