Y'know, I want to dislike Keanu on principle. The man is not a good actor, and has, in my opinion, gotten damned lucky. But then I read stories like this one. Looks like he not only knows that he's lucky, but is more than willing to pass on his earnings to the people who actually make him look good.

Well, no, he can't act, but I still like "The Matrix". (I haven't seen the second one, so I can't comment on that.) But go Keanu, for rewarding talent and putting your money to good use!

He can do some roles, he just has a limited range. He can do confused real well, which made him ideal for Neo in the first Matrix. He can also do earnest pretty well, and he's totally not bad at happy. Thus, Bill and Ted.

I remember readins somewhere about some other charitable thing he did. He pretty much just makes movies for fun at this point.

He is indeed an actor with a very limited range, but I am inclined to like him a whole hell of a lot for the countless nice things he does. Reports from everywhere paint the guy as genuinely nice, friendly, and always appreciative of the people who got him where he is now: the fans, the filmmakers, and the behind-the-scenes folk. I think Keanu Reeves is very good in any role that, at its heart, is a surfer.
Anything outside of that and its painful, but I find him very likeable in anything within his range.
