Didn't Eliza Dushku play Arnold's daughter in something? or am I completely imagining it? Part of me wants to say True Lies, but I'm not sure enough to say...

Watch Bring It On and A Fish Called Wanda instead for your Eliza/Jamie fixes!

I often compare _Last Action Hero_ to _The Neverending Story_. They're both about created worlds within created worlds.

I didn't see either of them, actually.

Don't worry, you're not missing out on either of them.

True Lies was one of those films that was not good but for some reason kept me entertained. I guess it had just the right kind of farsicle sarcasm about itself that it was just a silly action yarn. I did however think that Last Action Hero was a great concept and it made me think differently of Arnie. No longer did I see just some built guy stoicly posing, I sorta got the impression there was someone with half a brain and a sense of humor behind that lense.

Last Action Hero is still the only film in so far of its type that takes the conventions it plays with and actually PLAYS with them. Plenty of stories (short, full novel, television even) have played with it, but it is the only film that actually delivers and brings it's idea to full purpose. Plus as an action film, it's damn fucking awesome.

True Lies actually had some good writing in terms of espionage/spy stuff. The pole scene also just makes the film top notch for um... THAT scene... oh and Tom Arnold on a horse... priceless... other than... trash or as I call it... okay.

LAH was definitely a fun romp and didn't take itself too seriously.

I've never seen true lies...

I didn't see Last Action Hero, so I only answered the second question. I believe it was a fun film with some great moments. Specifically, "What kind of sick bitch takes the ice cube trays out of the freezer?!"
