Happy Fourth

yendiSo, last night, we got a group together to see Charlies Angels 2: Full Throttle. Although not the expected update to the LucasArts game, it was still lots of fun. Pure cheese (and cheesecake), of course, but it was every bit as much fun as a James Bond flick, which was really all I wanted. shadesong, libidoergosum, beachsomewhere (who missed the movie, but not the hanging out), sibylla, ryokan, missbiscuit, mermaidblue, lj-less Alex, and yours truly) went back to our place, where there was much fun conversation and hanging out until deep into the night.
Today,shadesong and I slept in, then figured we'd have nothing to do but hang with libidoergosum (who crashed at our place). But then irana called, and invited us to her place to celebrate the Fourth. So we headed there, and we all got to met Irana, her husband (who makes the best hamburgers on the planet), her daughter (who is very smart and cool, and who we want to have Elayna hang out with when she returns from FLA), her cute nephew, her mother-in-law, the very funny reprobayt, and her neighbors James and Min (I think that's everyone). It was truly a delightful time. We ate to the point of food comas, including the aforementioned Perfect Hamburger (which was also at least 10oz), steak sandwiches, chicken (regular and jerk), potato salad, cookies, and probably other stuff. We then spent the rest of the day just talking and laughing, and having an overall great time. It was truly fun, just hanging out, talking, eating, watching anime, and playing games. This is the first Fourth I've really celebrated in a while, and it was a great time!
Yeah, it's a good weekend so far.
update: Well, other than finding out that Barry White died.
