Strange porn

yendiI just watched the strangest porn movie I've ever seen: David Cronenberg's Crash. Okay, it may not technically be a porn movie, but it followed many of the structures of one. It's certainly a damned good movie (not that any Cronenberg movie I've seen has been anything but). It's also disturbing as hell (again, it's a Cronenberg flick), and something I'll probably have to think about for a while. I haven't seen any of his more recent pictures, but I suspect I need to start tracking them down.

He ventures down the ol' Videodrome/Naked Lunch path a bit on this one but with a twist. Repulsive in parts, but oddly compelling too.
I believe he enjoys his audience to be riveted to their seats with a sort of morbid curiosity.. stuck, and then he can show whatever he likes.. because we are sold, at that point.

.. and eraserhead gleefully skips across it, tosses a few mutant babies about, and splashes about in glowing pools of some horrible, noxious substance. Yes, my weird-meter was reset the day I saw *that* movie. Symbolism be damned, I believe I loathe that film!
