Noises Off!

Good news -- one of the best plays-turned-into-a-movie about a play, Noises Off..., is coming to DVD! Of course (as you may notice), Amazon has it mislisted as "Nosies Off," which is actually a play about clowns with leprosy. I assume they'll correct that soon. They do have a link to Noises Off... without a typo, but they still list that as not coming to DVD.

Oh wow, that has I think the best one-take scene ever captured on film! (the bit where they were scuffling behind the scenery with the wine bottle-prop that was also an active part of the show.) That Nick Cage movie is credited with havign the longest one-take sequence ever, but Noises off's was much more complicated.

Y'know I don't think I enjoyed Noises Off as a play. I wonder if I simply didn't like the presentation I saw at college.

One of my best friends and a couple of our buddies were in a community theater production of Noises Off in Jersey not too long ago. I saw it and it was hilarious. Very well done.
