I finally got to see the GL episode of Duck Dodgers last night. Twice. I damn near had a Lanterngasm. :-) They had everyone! I mean everyone. Kilowog (voiced by John DiMaggio), Katma Tui (voiced by Tara Strong), Sinestro (voiced by John de Lancie) and Hal Jordan (voiced by Kevin Smith) were all there, of course, but they had Tomar-Re and Boodikka in nice segments, and had background appearances by everyone from Guy Gardner to Ch'P, from that plant-haired guy Alan Moore wrote about to G'Nort. It was just amazing. Other than Kyle and Rond Vidar, I don't think a single Lantern was left out (there was even a cartoonish John Stewart). Just amazing.

No Arisia?

I can't believe you wouldn't mention Arisia, if Arisia had been there.

Rond was... wait. [sifts through various quantum realities] Remind me about Rond? I'm having problems associating him w/ the Corps.

In Legion of Super-Heroes, set in the 30th-century, Rond Vidar was the son of frequent Legion villain Universo, who had hypnotic abilities. But Rond was a good guy, and after helping the Legion defeat Universo a time or two he was made an honorary Legionnaire.

In the current continuity he was revealed a few years ago to be a covert Green Lantern; covert because, for reasons I can't remember, Green Lanterns had been banned from Earth.

Ah, well, I was already gone from super-hero books before Hal turned evil.

Boudicca was a queen of the ancient Britons who fought against the Romans (and in the alternate spelling, "Boadicea," it's the Vicar of Dibley's first name). Did Boodikka's life allude to that in any way?

My man Alan could still kick all their space-police butts from here to Xanthu and back.

Not knowing much about the GLs, I still thought the whole episode was hysterical. Especially after sitting there for three whole minutes saying "Whose voice is that?" and then going "OMG, it's John de Lancie! Eeeeee!"

John de Lancie has to make a great Sinestro. Just seems a good match to me.

Not that I know GL that well... Last I remember seeing in comics was Hal going insane and evil, and I thought that was really stretching it.

Thank you kindly. That all was lurking in the back of my mind, but refused to come when called. Bad dog.

I really resent DC for killing off some of my best friends.

I think they ignored Kyle. These guys (Paul Dini et al) are a bunch of old-tyme fen kinda like me. The Great DC Image-Comics-Panic Changes are ignorable canon.

Yah, I'm glad you mentioned that he was the one doing Sinestro's voice, since I wasn't able to figure it out at the time. It bugged me the entire episode (which was fall-off-the-couch funny).

Let me know if you miss it. I've got it on the computer (thanks to tivo) and might be able to figure out how to put it on a disk.
