I watched a show on your piece of shit network for the first time in years (because you actually aired a good show for the first time in years), and you put in on hiatus until March. For crap like The Bachelor. Fuck you. Fuck you for taking the most intelligent and fun new show of the season off the air.

(as per The Futon Critic, Karen Sisco has been back-burnered until March).

And stop giggling, Fox. I know you're going to fuck over Arrested Development sometime soon. And the Firefly/Futurama/Tick/Keen Eddie karma will haunt you forever (although since all four are coming out on DVD, I can at least enjoy them again). And NBC is fucking with the Scrubs schedule and hosing the ratings. Not a happy tv season for me. Not that any season ever is.

TV in general broke my heart with what Barry Diller did to Farscape. 5 VCRs, and no motivation to tape except legit dubs of The Wizard of Speed and Time (not that I have time to do that correctly/up-to-standards) right now. Oh, sure, there's still West Wing, but who knows where that's going.

*SIGH* I just don't have the emotional energy anymore, y'know?

Karen Sisco was the first thing I'd watched on ABC in years, too.

Dipshits.

Yeah, I went through my VHS WoSaT dubbing phase. I have a friend who says he's got a DVD made from a LaserDisc transfer. Time to borrow it and start dubbing digtally...

(wish I had my wiz icon made already)

Mike hasn't ever said anything about DVD copies, but then... I never asked, either, not having that capability. Curious, though -- who's the friend? I'm one of the few laserdisk owners I know of. :)

Scott Mabbutt (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0531056/). At one point he was dating a girl who happened to bring up WoSaT randomly in conversation, asking if he'd heard of it. He pulled out his cell phone and got Mike on the line and handed it to her... :)

Wait. Keen Eddie is coming to DVD? This is the first I've heard of that, but I hope it's true. It'll be nice to actually see them in the right order. They shuffled a few shows at the end or at least it seemed that they had.

Keen Eddie is now on Sky over here, and it's received rave reviews. The Time Out London critic guessed the reason why it didn't do well in the US was that it the British characters were very good -- they really were true British characters, not American stereotypes.

I haven't had a chance to catch it. I need to try to remember to see it Sunday night. Any comments?

Huh. Rings no bells, alas.

(still no Wiz icon, but I got the colourtest done for animating it a bit.)

I feel your pain.. I quietly hold out hope that someone at Trio will take the "TV too good for TV" concept to the next level and pick up a freshly cancelled show and continue it.. Of course that requires assloads of money.. which there is never enough of..

You watch 10-8 or The Handler?

How you go back to that cesspit every September is beyond me.

I didn't pick up one new show last year or this year.

When my sis gets the pilot tapes for next year maybe I can find one, ONE, thing that I think I will like, that won't get cancelled by the Network, or scorned by the public.

Luck to you that your shows really are on hiatus, and not life support.

I know that as the technology has rocketed forward, both in high-quality copies and in desktop SFX, Mike's wanted to fix the film at home before doing a DVD, but I don't know what his current sitch is with finding the time.

(NOW I have a Wiz icon!)
