Wasn't on much yesterday.

Elayna woke me at 5:30, letting me know that she'd thrown up. I changed the sheets, felt her forehead (felt fine), and put her to bed, figuring it was a stomach bug.

She slept in, didn't eat breakfast, and was weak the rest of the day (including another vomiting session early in the morning). She had a slight fever (around 100) for most of the day. She was lethargic enough to allow me to nap, even, which is rare (I missed two phone calls that way).

But last night, her fever spiked, and hit 104. We freaked (naturally) but got some good advice (thanks to Dr. Grandma and WebMD), and gave her Children's Motrin, which brought her down a lot. By midnight, she was down to 98.5.

Fever was back to 103 this morning, but since that's lower than before, and since she's less weak, we're okay with how things are going. But if the fever spikes up (we've given her Motrin again), or if she starts to show any other symptoms, we're on alert. And we're planning on her not going to school tomorrow.

Update: Her fever is down to 101, and dropping. We're getting strawberry pancakes from Crescent Moon for her.

So yeah, that's been my weekend so far.
