My new computer (at work) arrived today. *happy sigh*. Dual-2GhZ G5, with a 23-Inch Cinema display. It's fucking fast. And beautiful.
Yeah, it's the reason I was offline most of the afternoon. Had to get it set up perfectly. Finished a few minutes before quitting time, too (major delay -- tossing four gigs of MP3s over the network from the old computer -- fortunately, they upgraded the network last night.
Time to go. But now I've got something to look forward to tomorrow when I come into work. :-)

Date: 2004-01-07 02:42 pm (UTC)Our first G5 is coming when we hire another artist, hopefully within the next month or so. It'll probably be a single 1.8 but I might be able to wrangle a dual 1.8. We'll see I guess.
It makes the CFO sooooo happy when I don't order the top-of-the-line Mac$$$, and especially when I order monitors that don't cost the gross national product of Belize, each. But sometimes he gives in.
I just put in a single 1.25 G4 running Panther, BOY HOWDY that's a nifty upgrade! Now I gotta upgrade the rest of the shop too, they're gonna love it.
