yendiOlliesmama is selling a bunch of stuff on eBay, ranging from Time-Life books to movies to computer games to clothing. Go bid some of those items up, and don't stop reading the list of items just because the first one is a really crappy Stephen King novel!
When has a trend officially gotten five kinds of silly? When Star Trek hops on the badwagon. Let's hear it for Star Trek, the Manga!
Condy Rice just gets funnier. My favorite statement: "It is a longstanding principle that sitting national security advisers do not testify before the Congress."
Well, gee, Condy, that's fascinating, but A) Sandy Berger and Zbigniew Brzezinski have both testified in front of Congress, and B), this isn't Congress, it's an independent commission, you fucking twit!
And Google has simplified their site, getting rid of their tabs. They've also got their tools conventiently listed at http://www.google.com/options/index.html on a nicely organized page.

She's refined her excuse to the national security advisers do not testify on policy.
She also said she'd say the same thing in private without an oath that she would in public under oath.
Hahahahahaha! You're right. She does get funnier!

Date: 2004-03-29 08:27 am (UTC)Brzezinski's testimony isn't on the web yet, so I'll have to venture into one of those printed book building places where things are archived... er... a library, I think they're called. Any idea if this was an address, or really testimony? And before which committee/subcomittee? If you remember it, I'd appreciate the details.
And, the whole point of the public discussion is so that the commission can parade out views for the press. Their refusal to work in private, where matters of national security not yet declassified could be discussed, shows an unwillingness to look for the truth. Sad, but it's American politics.
