Georgia actually passed a law I approve of -- HB 645, allowing us to drink real fucking beer (basically, GA has had one of the toughest restrictions on alcohol content in beer in the US for the last century, because they want to protect the precious moonshiners vote or somesuch, because holding down the alcohol content of the beer sure as fuck doesn't have any other effect on alcohol consumption in GA). Finally, the good stuff from Belgium can be sold here!

I heard that this morning on Good Day, it's about damned time! Now all we have to do is get them to pass the law that wine can be shipped to Georgia, and I can die happy.

Yay high gravity beer! Last night I had some Dogfish Head's Midas Touch Golden Elixir (http://www.dogfish.com/beer/midastouch.cfm). It's a cross between beer, wine, and mead. It's also 9% ABV.

What a strange coincidence. I was just thinking about GA's stupid beer law early this morning. I'm glad to know they've finally seen the light.

In the US we call Belgium beer great, in Germany they call it substandard, go figure.
