1. Dial-up.

2. Bellsouth's attempts to get DSL working in this house (latest update: Call back after 5, as they have to run more tests).

Grr. I'll be at the office tomorrow, at least, so fast connection time then, regardless of what the pigfuckers at Bellsouth do. I'm one step away from getting a cable modem here.

No time to browse (no patience, actually), even though I've got a lot I'd like to read, and stuff I'd love to post about.

But the important thing is that we saw the new Harry Potter film last night, and it kicks eight kinds of ass (including those of Chris Columbus and his first two films). This is the first of the films that feels like the books all the way through. Also, it has one of the most inspired (if overlong) end-credits sequences I've seen.

Someone (probably [livejournal.com profile] sff_corgi) posted a link to an article in which Rowling says that this film accidentally foreshadows stuff from the next few books. I'm definitely curious as to what.

Anyway, I'm posting this before I get booted offline again. Motherfucking dial-up. If I wanted to get my information this slowly, I'd read a fucking newspaper (okay, I already read today's AJC, but I want actual information, dammit).
