Thank you for sending me a comment notification from June 27. Without this timely notice, I'd never have known that someone replied. But now that you've made me aware of this reply from over a month ago, I can go and post my own reply, which will presumably make it to another person's mailbox just as summer officially ends and the first day of autumn hits.

(really, I'm used to delays, but this is a fucking record; fortunately, I'd seen the comment and responded back in June).

I get that now and again. Thankfully this new feature will resolve all that. For me, its just a matter of reminding myself it exists and then checking it. *grin*

And my own posts aren't really the problem. I can go to my own page and scan the most recent posts, anyway. It's replies to comments I've left on other LJs that worry me.

Hrmm. No notification of this one at all. And saw 4 new comments via that link I showed you, but still no email notification on any of them.

It was working fine for me all day though as I was playing comment tag for most of it, then right when you posted this it all stopped working for me.

This sounds just like the Royal Mail. I bet somebody at LJ HQ decided to rearrange their office yesterday, and when they moved a filing cabinet they found a sack of comment notifications that had slipped down behind it. That's the usual story. =:o\
