Thanks to
unrepentant, I'm now aware of the movie Fear of Clowns. A someone who stands firmly in the "clowns are scary" camp, I'm psyched for this (although the tag line, "your fear is justified," is incredibly lame).
Now, what about a sequel to Killer Klowns from Outer Space?
Newsarama has a nice piece about what one retailer goes through to prepare for a big comics show. It'd be nice to see a few more articles like this to show what small dealers, specialists, the ubiquitous video pirates, etc go through as well.
More comics business: Over at Comicon,
pulsejenc has a nice interview with Brian Hibbs, the retailer who led the class action suit against Marvel for their late shipping (and unreturnable) books.
Harry Shearer isn't a fan of the recent seasons of The Simpsons. Inconsistent as the last few seasons have been, there's been a surprising amount of fun stuff, and it's still one of the few shows I'll watch every week.
The greatest Mac game ever (well, after the Marathon games) finally has a sequel! If Airburst Extreme is half as good as the original, I'll be happy. I'll be downloading the demo tonight.
Surprising headline of the day: Toys 'R' Us Says It May Leave the Toy Business
Back to the grind. I now have a 1300 line spreadsheet I need to parse to create a ton of conferences, all of which should have been requested in July. Early July.

Date: 2004-08-12 12:32 pm (UTC)SOTA (I think that's the name) has snagged dozens of movie licences to do a toy or two from each. The first wave should have one of the Killer Klowns, Darkman, and the Toxic Avenger.
Keen!
