Its almost a moot point--my new tivo is set up, out of the box, and it wont get past the "powering up screen" which means it--according to tivo support--it has to go back to best buy tomorrow. I hope Tivo quality isnt as bad as it looks right now!
If best buy gives me a hassle or wont exchange it (which would be insane since I bought it today) then I'll have to return it I suppose...sigh...I hope its worth the hassle...is it?
this was a snap decision that it would better to get a tivo than to rely on the pvr I set up for my home computer...which isnt so reliable and ties up my computer...but at least it WORKS...
